What are the criteria for eligibility?
Your organization is eligible to apply for a Lumena grant when:
- Your organization is a 501(c)3.
- Your headquarters are based inside the US.
- The target constituents of your organization are inside the US.
- Your organization is either a women-focused nonprofit or you are a nonprofit seeking funding for a women-focused project.
- Your organization supports one (or more) of the five dimensions of well-being for women—health, education, economic empowerment, personal safety, legal rights.
When is the application period?
Applications for the Moon and Star funds become available to the public on February 15th and should be received by Lumena by March 31st. Applications for the Sun fund are available by invitation and are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year.
When will I hear about the status of my application?
Applicants to the Moon and Star funds can expect to hear from Lumena within 60 days of the application deadline. Applicants to the Sun fund can expect to hear from Lumena within 60 days of submitting their full rolling application.
